i just asked my friend, a longtime blogger, how this works, even though i already know. i write semi-interesting things, and semi-interested people read them, or they don't.
then one day someone calls me a "blogger" and i get free press passes to music/arts/food festivals, and demand my First Amendment rights.
i've never been good at keeping a journal (mostly because i love paper goods and i like to collect/hoard, as opposed to use them), but if it gets me free passes to things, i'll give it a shot.
